Sen. Burzynski endorses Brady for Governor

State Senator Brad Burzynski (R-35th, Rochelle) has announced he is endorsing Senator Bill Brady for Governor in the 2010 gubernatorial election.

"I've known Sen. Brady for a number of years, having served with him in the Senate since 2002. He has a proven track record of platform Republican principles and possesses the common sense business experience we so desperately need in Springfield," said Burzynski.

"It's critical we return political balance to our state government. I feel Sen. Brady is best suited to lead this charge. He has served with integrity and is an individual worthy of our trust," Burzynski added.

"I am grateful to my colleagues in the General Assembly for their support for my campaign," said Brady. "They recognize I represent a clean break from the politics of the past as we work to make Illinois proud again.

"As Governor, I will need them working by my side to build a New Illinois with balanced budgets and a business climate that ensures greater opportunity for all Illinoisans and a future of promise and prosperity for our children and grandchildren," Brady said.

Brady, 48, has served in the Illinois Senate since 2002, and previously served in the Illinois House of Representatives from 1993-2001. A lifelong resident of Bloomington, Brady and his brothers have operated successful home building and real estate/development businesses for more than 25 years throughout central Illinois. He and his wife, Nancy, have been married for 27 years and have three children.
